There is no silver bullet to resolve the rhino poaching crisis. When you have the key components of greed, poverty, high unemployment, corrupt governments that are unwilling or incapable of acting, a valuable commodity based on generations of cultural usage, an endless supply of people willing to risk their lives for gain and international syndicates right in the middle of the action, you have the perfect storm which will inevitably result in the extinction of a species in the wild.

No single organisation or individual can halt this wildlife crisis; collaboration is critical. Over the years, I have worked with many people who have dedicated their lives to making a difference to the conservation of endangered species. A number of these are detailed below, I encourage you to support them in whichever way you. When the demand stops, the poaching stops.

Please contact me if I can assist you or your organisation in your efforts.

The Black Mambas

This video clip describes the extraordinary work that the all-female anti-poaching group known as the Black Mambas are doing in and around the Balule Game Reserve in South Africa.

The Wildlife Conservation Network (WCN)

The Wildlife Conservation Network is an extraordinary organisation, headquartered in San Francisco which protects endangered wildlife by supporting conservationists who ensure that wildlife and people coexist and thrive. Our Partner Network is a select cohort of on-the-ground conservationists who operate on the frontlines and have the nimbleness and know-how to make conservation work. We offer these conservationists ongoing, in-depth, multi-year support, providing the financial resources, tools, and services they need to effectively protect wildlife.

The Community Conservation Fund for Africa (CCFA)

The CCFA has identified a gap in the ecosystem around conservation awareness in communities that share living space with wild animals. CCFA believes that supporting these communities through environmental and economic educational programs will cultivate community leaders who feel empowered and inspired to change the fate of the planet from one that is driven by greed and a scarcity mindset, to one guided by a unified awareness towards abundance, through sustainability.
