Just in time for World Rhino Day on September 22, it is timely that good friend and wildlife veterinarian, Dr Peter Morkel and others have been awarded the Ig Noble Prize which is presented by Nobel laureates in a ceremony at Harvard University, and is followed by the winners’ public lectures at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.[2]

 

The citation reads ‘’For determining by experiment whether it is safer to transport an airborne rhinoceros upside-down. Full details can be found here.
